Aker Brygge - Christmas Opening
For the opening of the Christmas season at Aker Brygge, the brief was to develop a concept that could live on year after year, evolving with small adjustments while building a recognisable Christmas tradition for visitors. Our proposal was for Aker Brygge to take ownership of Santa Claus as a recurring character, allowing him to return every year with new stories, activities and experiences.
Inspired by the traditional Scandinavian Christmas, we collaborated with the wider creative team and partners to shape a nostalgic and magical universe centred around Santa Claus and his toy exchange market – encouraging children and families to give new life to toys they had outgrown while experiencing the festive atmosphere at the destination.
Prior to the official opening of the Christmas season at Aker Brygge, we invited press and selected profiles together with their children to an exclusive breakfast. Guests had the opportunity to meet Santa Claus, write their wish lists and take part in the toy exchange before the festivities were officially launched.
Our role was to develop the full concept in collaboration with partners and creatives involved in the project, while also securing strong media visibility through strategic press outreach and storytelling around the opening.
